You want alot of free pizza, huh? Well, then this is your chance! At Convention 2008, "Dad" Thomas R. Labagh, Executive Officer of Pennsylvania DeMolay, issued a challenge to every chapter in the commonwealth to raise $120 dollars (one cent per mile) in support of Victor Frederick, and the Hiram Riders, Ride to Fight Dyslexia that benefits the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Learning Centers. |
To
keep track of this promotion, and to remind "Dad" Labagh
of how close he is to setting out a load of money for pizza, PA
DeMolay has set up the State Charity Pizza Tracker.
Whenever a Chapter presents their donation to the cause their slice of the pizza will be revealed. A whole Pizza = Pizza Party! |

"Dad" Labagh stated that if every chapter in Pennsylvania DeMolay gives $120 then he will throw a Pizza Party at Convention 2009 for everyone from Pennsyvlania DeMolay, paid for by himself! On that day, "Dad" Labagh immediately pledged $120 of his own personal money in support of this cause (edit: we are unsure if "Mom" Labagh approved this expenditure before hand, but he did it anyway!) During that same weekend, Lincoln Chapter gave their $120 to support the cause, getting the effort going in the right direction! Continuing in that spirit, Lorraine Chapter presented their donation at the State Softball Tournament. There is no need to ask for more information on how to pledge your funds. Simply write a check for $120.00, payable to PA DeMolay, and present it at the next Statewide event, or when a State Officer visits your chapter! In order to qualify for the Pizza Party, every Chapter must contribute to the program by May 31, 2009-- which is the end of the Pennsylvania DeMolay Competition Year. |
