First,
how about being sure all of your members have seen
Monty Python's classic "Grail" movie,
so as to be in on the joke. Why not host a movie-night
prospect event?
Divide
your Chapter into teams, and compete for the right
to participate in an activity, or to receive a Chapter-sponsored
prize.
Hold
a lottery to win a prize. The more prospects recommended
and new members initiated-- the more chances you
get in the lottery.
Ask
Lincoln or Templar Chapter about their "hair
raising and shaving" event.
Hold
a Holy Grail kick-off night, and have everyone make
costumes or props. A sack of coconuts and a group
of DeMolays can be the ingredients for a very wild
evening!
Hold
a Prospect Party dressed up as Knights of the Round
Table, or characters from the movie. Give prizes for
best costume.
Select
a Recruitment Prize that your Chapter can afford,
or better yet, find a local Masonic organization or
a business to sponsor your recruitment incentive!
Or create a "prize" that has no cost…
such as the opportunity to deliver a pie in the eye
of a willing Master Councilor or Chapter Advisor.
