The 2004 PA DeMolay Softball Tournament was a little different than usual. But hey, different is good. So what Chapter is this year's champion? There isn't one! Instead of Chapter based teams, this tournament assigned attendees to mixed teams for the weekend. Teams still competed according to the usual tournament rules and brackets, and all participants were presented with a medal in recognition of their participation. The winning team, pictured above, represented 6 different Chapters, with other teams showing a similar mix. None of these groups had practiced or played together before the tournament, but they still managed to come together as a team for the weekend, right down to "bucketing" the winning coach (E-town's "Dad" Terry Louer) to celebrate victory. The weekend's sportsmanship, teamwork and brotherhood proved once again that with the DeMolay experience, everybody wins! |
