| "A bonfire, is that legal?"
That's what "Dad" Grow of Somerton Chapter asked us during
Spring Training! Well, in our neck
of the woods it is!
A bonfire/prospect party was hosted for the New Castle Builders Chapter by "Mom" and "Dad" Tressler on July 22, 2005. In attendance were 9 current members (Dennis Lennox, Nick Totin, Nick Davidson, Kyle Anderson, Seth Hill, Jesse Boak, Michael Jerasa, Ron Ryan, and Preston Reed), Dustin, a new DeMolay to be obligated on July 27, and two prospects, of which one asked for an application! Also along were Advisors "Mom" Tressler, "Mom" Totin, "Mom" Orr, "Dad" Tressler, and "Dad" Orr. With the heat, it was near 90° with near 100% humidity, the bonfire was not the hit of the party. However, much fun was had while playing horseshoes, Frisbee, and launching tennis balls out of a water balloon launcher just to watch "Mom" and "Dad" Tressler's dog "Mickey" run to get them! We did roast some hot dogs, eat many bags of chips, and drink plenty of soda-pop and iced tea. Our new Chapter is planning many fun events this fall and winter, we'll keep you posted on the details and welcome all of you to attend! "Dad" Scott Tressler |
