Members of Reading Chapter extended a helping hand
to the Masonic CHIP program to help ensure the safety of children
in Berks County.
Nine members took part in the PA Grand Lodge's CHIP program at
Robeson Elementary School. The event was held Saturday, March
25th as part of Family Fun Day.
CHIP,
or Child Identification Program, gives parents the means
to quickly get vital information to police in the event that their
child becomes missing or separated from them.
Master Councilor Jeffrey Bortz and Erik Gaul
took digital photographs of about 50 children during the day, while
other Chapter members conducted video interviews that become part
of the identifying materials given to parents.
It was a busy day for all involved, but a day well-spent.
