What do you get when you take six Past Master Councilors, fourteen DeMolays, a Chapter Sweetheart, twenty-one Advisors and over sixty family members? The best attended Chapter Banquet and Awards Ceremony held by Elizabethtown DeMolay!
The evening, hosted by Banquet Committee Chairman Christian Louer, started with the presentation of Efficiency Certificates to Chapter Treasurer Christian Louer and Chapter Scribes Shawn Vulatic and David Drescher. Following these presentations, “Dad” Prazenica introduced the newly appointed Chapter Advisor: “Dad” Chris Fry, who joined Elizabethtown Chapter in 1995 and served two terms as Master Councilor.
Number One Pins were presented and Past Master Councilor Michael Brown received the Founder’s Membership Award. The members selected “Dad” Andrew H. Kauffman as Advisor of the Year for 2006. Veteran Member Jordan Specht and New Member Wyatt Smeltzer were chosen as DeMolays of the Year.
A chicken cordon bleu dinner and a mingling of DeMolay families and friends followed the presentations. Once dinner was concluded, “Dad” Larry Ebersole presented the Chapter with $1,735.00, the proceeds from a miniature carousel that “Dad” Ebersole hand-crafted and donated to the Elizabethtown DeMolay Reserve Fund.
The evening was brought to an enjoyable conclusion with a photographic PowerPoint slide show of the activities from 2006 as prepared by Mike Brown.
Congratulations to Christian Louer and his committee for planning an enjoyable and memorable Chapter Banquet.
