After a day of ritual and initiation at Rose Croix on March 10th, newly initiated and old members of DeMolay from seven different chapters gathered at Meridian Lodge in Enon Valley, PA to attend a Mardi Gras themed lock in. The night was filled with music, games, and tons of good food.
With thanks to Levi R. Harding, Worshipful Master of Meridian Lodge, the boys were granted permission to use both the lodge room and the fellowship hall. Everybody joined in making fun of Elected State Officers Jake Palo, Alex Swift, and Joe Pullin as well as Chapter Sweethearts Elizabeth Lennox and Marie Pashel as each was bombarded with pie after pie to help raise money for the Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Masonic Learning Center. In the lodge room upstairs, more entertainment was provided with a live band, temporarily entitled Makeshift. For two hours they performed a variety of music and the band was a huge hit with kids and advisors alike.
After the crowning of the King and Queen for the night, James Palo and Angela Lennox, the girls in attendance left for the night. The fun did not end here, however, as the guys continued their fun well into the early morning hours. This awesome event ended after breakfast and a sleepless night when everybody returned home.
Special thanks are extended to the members of Meridian Lodge for their awesome display of support for Pennsylvania DeMolay and for the advisors present.
