After nearly two years of hard work and organization, the first eight candidates were inducted into the recently revived Lycoming Chapter in Williamsport, Pennslvania. This historic induction class took place on April 29th, 2007 when DeMolays from Reading, Elizabethtown, Lorraine, Steel City, New Castle Builders, Crusade, Chester Pike, Friendship Bray, Northeast, Somerton, Freedom, and Pilgrim Chapters joined forces to put on the DeMolay Degrees under direction of Director of Ritual, "Dad" Keith Bortz, Sr., for those in attendance including the Grand Master of Masons in Pennsylvania, "Dad" Ron Aungst.
This induction class also put PA DeMolay 8 members closer to achieving positive growth for the year which the State Master Councilor, Brother Justin Dunmire, has made a personal goal of reaching before going out of office at Convention 2007 in Greensburg, PA.
Formerly known as Williamsport Chapter, Lycoming Chapter was restarted by the new Chapter Advisor "Dad" Sam Aungst along with the help of several lodge members in the area and local members of Pennsylvania DeMolay attending Lycoming College and Pennsylvania College of Technology.
A special thanks goes out to all those who helped out to make this day possible! Lycoming Chapter looks forward to growing quickly and becoming active in Pennsylvania DeMolay.
