Quest For Your Best Weekend in Review

It's not every day you get to tear into a "Medieval Feast" with your bare hands. But then, every day isn't a day at "The Quest for Your Best." Members from around the state joined in the weekend of fun on May 4-6, 2007 with participants from Erie, New Castle Builders, Lorraine, Steel City, Templar, Lincoln, Pilgrim, Riverside, Elizabethtown, Reading, Friendship-Bray, Northeast, and Crusade.

On Friday Night, PA DeMolay was proud to welcome its newest member, Alex Bedford from Friendship-Bray Chapter.

The workshops included classes on membership recruitment, becoming an Elected or Appointed State Officer, communications, proper etiquette, and how to "sell" DeMolay.

Once the workshops were over, the real fun began. A dance, a charity auction, and a charity Texas hold'em poker tournament were held simultaneously. The Dance was kicking as usual, and was DJ'd by Senior DeMolay and Chapter Advisor of Elizabethtown Chapter, "Dad" Chris Fry. The Charity Auction offered items from Hershey Park tickets to foam footballs and was headed up by "Mom" Shanna Coe and "Mom" Susan Hunt.

Twenty-two people signed up for the poker tournament. The Final Table included Alex Swift, Jamie Segeren, Jake Palo, David Labagh, "Dad" Thomas Labagh, and the winner of the tournament and Gold Championship Poker Bracelet, Al Spicer.

All in all, the three events raked in a total of $440.00, which will be going to the 32º Masonic Learning Centers for Children.
