Riverside to Host Pot Pie Dinner for Charity

You are invited to a Pot Pie Dinner
Sponsored by Riverside Chapter Order of DeMolay

  • Home-made Chicken Pot Pie
  • Coleslaw or Apple Sauce
  • Choice of water, juice, coffee or tea
  • Roll with butter
  • Dessert: Bake Sale items available

When: November 11th 2007, 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

Where: Wrightsville Masonic Lodge, 25 Cool Creek Rd., Wrightsville, PA

The cost is $7.00. If you bring in a bag of non-perishable canned food items to give to the less fortunate, you will get $1.00 off the original price.

All profits benefit local food drives in Lancaster-York area.

* Editorial note and educational moment: If you're not from Amish Country, you probably think chicken pot pie has something to do with, well, pie (photo, right). But in Lancaster and York Counties (and thereabouts), pot pie is a hearty chicken stew loaded with big dumpling-style noodles (photo, left). It might not look like a pie, but trust us, it's really tasty! You will not go away from an Amish-country pot pie dinner hungry!
