Chester-Pike Particpates in Memorial Dedication

On Saturday September 22, members of Chester Pike Chapter were busy cleaning up the Living Memorial Gardens, Delaware County Chapter, Parents of Murdered Children. Chester Pike DeMolay, along with other helping hands in the local community, placed mulch and cleaned up the individual gardens of the loved ones for the annual ceremonies that took place the following night.

On Sunday night at 7 pm, beginning the ceremonies, "Dad" Rick Freedman dedicated a bench donated by Pennsylvania DeMolay in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the tragedy at Virginia Tech. Chester Pike Master Councilor, Jerry Richards, led the procession down to the gardens, carrying a wreath to place in the garden remembering the victims of 9/11. Paul Stults and Andrew Richards carried the American flag and the Parents of Murdered Children flags to place at the gazebo for the ceremony. Following them were Lou Zandona, Kari Labagh, and "Mom" Kira Labagh. Also in attendance that night were "Mom" Barb DiMario (leading the ceremony), "Mom" Deb Setnar, "Mom" Jean Richards, "Dad" John Pickering, "Dad" Bill Wigmore, and "Dad" Al Spina.
