More and more local Chapters are creating and maintaining their own web sites for public relations, Chapter communications, and just for fun. PA DeMolay encourages this trend. In order to help our Chapters make the best use of web-based communication, and to protect the members, name, and principles of DeMolay, PA DeMolay has adopted a formal web site policy. On this page, you'll find links to both
the formal rules and regs for PA DeMolay web sites, and a separate page of DeMolay web tips, which may be helpful in your Chapter's web adventures.

Definitions:

1. A PA DEMOLAY WEBSITE is any site operated by a PA DeMolay Chapter, Appendant Body, Parent's Club, or other DeMolay-related organization, or operated by any individual or entity on-behalf of such an organization. Sites posted for special inter-Chapter DeMolay events or other DeMolay purposes are included in this definition. Any website bearing the DeMolay name and/or representing itself as speaking for a PA DeMolay entity is, by definition, a DeMolay website. Like all DeMolay publications, these sites fall under the jurisdiction and control of the Executive Officer.

2. A POLICY is a requirement made of all PA DeMolay web sites. All DeMolay web sites for Chapters, Appendant Bodies, or other purposes, must be in compliance with these requirements.

3. GUIDELINES are simply suggestions made for maximum effectiveness of web-use. All Chapter and other sites are urged to follow the guidelines provided, and to strive for a consistent level of excellence in their web publications.
